Presidents Podium

This month, July 2009 starts a new year for IFMA-Memphis and my second go round as President of the local chapter. It has been a pleasure to serve our chapter in the past and I look forward to a new year. Our board continues to put together great educational opportunities for our members. Our corporate sponsors have really shined in helping our chapter grow and provide quality events.

In an effort to increase attendance and to help during our tough economic times, the board has decided to waive the Professional Member meeting charge. So take advantage of this savings over the next year and join us for the monthly meetings.

We have a few goals this upcoming year. We are really excited and looking forward to the challenges a small chapter has. We currently have 18 professional members and 16 associate members. Our goal for 2009/10 program is to increase our professional membership by 15%. In addition to this we will hold a CFM Review course late summer/early fall. In the past our CFM review course have been well attended and has resulted in increased professional certification.

Our board this year has several new faces and I am very excited about the direction our chapter is heading. Kevin Flood Enterprise Rent-a-car - Programs Co-Chair.

So climb aboard and let’s get ready for a great 2009/2010 year.
